BEGIN YOUR JOURNEYChoose a starting point, not just a course name
New to Arabic letters
If letters and vowel marks are unfamiliar, start by showing the teacher what you can recognize. A useful first goal is reading a small mixed set accurately, rather than finishing a whole book quickly.
Reading already, but needing correction
Read a short passage aloud during the trial. Mention sounds you confuse or places where you lose fluency. Ask which correction to practise first and how the teacher will check it next time.
Interested in memorization
Tell the academy what you have memorized and whether you can still recall it without looking. New memorization and revision need separate attention; compare the Hifz pathway before choosing.
Looking for understanding
Recitation lessons and Tafseer serve different goals. If your main interest is meaning and reflection, ask about the published Tafseer courses rather than expecting a reading lesson to cover everything.
Prepare for the trial
Keep your reading material ready and test sound in a quiet place. Bring one question about your level and one about a realistic weekly routine. Confirm availability and fees with the academy before committing.
